Michael E. Harris, Ph.D.
Dr. Harris has been a licensed psychologist for over 30 years and is both the founder and clinical director of Center For Behavior Medicine. He is a solution-focused psychologist and offers a creative blend of psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral theory. Dr. Harris takes an active and direct approach with his patients and ensures they leave the therapeutic process with feelings of empowerment and specific tools to better confront and control existing and future emotional challenges.
Dr. Harris received his doctorate degree from Illinois Institute of Technology in 1977. He has created and served as director of multiple substance abuse and eating disorder programs at both the University of Chicago and College Hospital, Cerritos CA. Dr. Harris is an active member of the medical staff at Presbyterian Hospital, PIH Health, as well as Whittier Hospital Medical Center.
